Gaia is a fantasy novel that takes place in a world called Faermma. 1,000 years before the events in Gaia, there was a catastrophe that plummeted Faermma into ruin. The Calamity, Gaia, was sent to Faermma by the Goddesses to rid the world of humanity and its corruption. But things didn’t go as planned.
Now, 1,000 years later, the Goddesses have left the world to rot with their once beloved Highborn. Humans have almost complete control over the world and work to erase Highborn and their followers from existence.
Gaia follows twins Lilith and Dante, who happen to be Highborn. Highborn are a race of humans with ethereal powers granted by the Goddesses. Because of who they are and what they can do, Lilith and Dante have spent their lives in hiding from the Red Army. They have made quite the names for themselves as elusive thieves and swindlers all across Faermma.
The twins catch wind of a new weapon that the military is working on and plan a heist to get their hands on the blueprints. But something goes wrong. Death and tragedy sends them down a treacherous path straight into Gaia’s arms where she has been patiently waiting their return.
Lilith and Dante are left with a difficult decision - do they continue to avoid fate and allow the Red Army to claim more innocent lives in their quest for world domination? Or will they answer the call and fight for those trapped in the military’s firm grasp? Can they be the heroes the world desperately needs them to be?
